MANHASSET, N.Y. — Wi-Fi equipment vendor Iogear said Tuesday (April 13) that it has released a new wireless router that eliminates the problem of people snooping on their neighbors' wireless networks.

The company said its new 802.11g Wireless Broadband Router comes with a built-in unidirectional antenna that focuses radio signals toward specific locations. The narrow focus enables users to aim Wi-Fi signals, for instance, toward specific desktop PCs and away from nosy neighbors.

The router also comes with a more standard omnidirectional antenna that flips down when not in use. The company said the router, which is aimed at home users and small businesses, costs $129.
