Herald Radio Link Design SW 1.3
HERALD is a Sw tool useful in designing point-to-point radio links and networks, with close reference to guidelines and propagation models recommended by ITU-R. It deals with all the basic steps in link design: network topology, terminal site and hop configuration (including passive repeaters and diversity arrangements), link budget, performance predictions (path obstruction and reflection, multipath, rain). A complete interference analysis in a radio network is executed. HERALD uses customized Radio Equipment and Antenna Libraries (Access Format), with easy retrieval procedures.
