SAN JOSE, Calif. — A family of +13-dBm local-oscillator drive mixers has been unveiled for cellular, PCS, and UMTS applications. The MMICs combine quad FET-MOSFET mixers and RF and LO baluns in a 3x3-mm, 6-pn DFN package. The family includes the MW302, which spans the 1800 to 2000 range and the MW303, which operates over the 820 to 920 MHz band. Both mixers sport a +27-dBm input IP3 and 7.5-dB conversion loss. The initial parts support a +13-dBm LO drive level. The mixers can also accommodate drive levels up to +20 dBm for higher-performance applications.
